I have had a great run in Peoria, Illinois but now it's time to chase a dream and move to Boston. My wife and I pack up and fly to Boston in just over a week and I'll be starting a new position with the MIT Mobile Experience Lab where I'll be working with SMS, Flash, and Drupal to do some amazing things.
A new exhibit opened at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois a few weeks ago. The exhibit, located in "The Grotto" near the Caribbean Reef tank, focuses on the Shedd Aquarium's research vessel, the CRII. I developed the larger of the two touchscreen pieces in the exhibit -- a 42" Plasma Touchscreen mounted inset into the wall. The piece features high definition video and super high resolution photos of the CRII, allowing users to explore and learn all about the different parts of Shedd's ship.
Today BrianMcMurray.com relaunched as a freshly skinned portfolio site. Powered by Drupal 5, the site has new features, a new look, and new projects. Brian continues to blog with Steven Merrill at cascadingStyle.net.
Maui Jim Sunglasses launched just a few days ago. More than a year long project from inception to launch, I am very happy to see it go live. The team at IBM did a great job implementing the HTML templates I helped to build and despite the nasty urls and markup generated by the WebSphere eCMS, the site looks great!
